MISS YOU card

This is a video I created while I was making a MISS YOU card for my best friend, who recently accepted a new job which involves traveling all over the country.  She LOVES hermit crabs and as soon as I saw this stamp at JoAnn's I KNEW I had to use it on a card for her.  I tried to use a new embossing technique I learned from one of Kristina Werner's new videos using a Hero Arts stamp.  You keep adding embossing powder and melting it on a section of paper and after about 3 or 4 times, you push your stamp into the melted powder.....you can't see from my video, but I stamped MISS YOU into the "sand"...hard to pick up on the camera, but it looks pretty cool on the card.  So here goes...hope you like it!

Blogging? Why not?

So I have decided to create a blog to share some of the things I have been working on...hopefully it will inspire you, the way so many people online have inspired me!  :)  You can check out some things I have uploaded at 2 Peas in a Bucket as well.  I recently won the 2 Peas Hampton Arts Vendor Challenge with the card below....I am really happy with how it turned out....I never entered a card challenge before, so I was extra happy when I found out I won...maybe it was beginners luck?  haha.  I used the I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH stamp from Hampton Arts and extended the curlies that attach the mittens which I pop dotted above the page and used some glitter embossing powder to make them sparkle!  I inked the edges and created the dots and stripes with various colors of distress inks.  The snowman was from a stamp set I have had for a while, but I think you can still get it at Michaels.
